Nick Benson seeks advice on changing Spit shocks.

Nick; The rears are really simple. I've had ours off and on several times
in the last year. (Result of changing rear axles which is a result of
bashing the thing against a curb in the autocross at Asheville. Do you
know how hard you have to wallop one of those axles to bend it? Reallllly
hard.) The rear shocks are not dependent on anything else or vice versa
so all you have are the two bolts holding the shock itself in to remove.
These can be corroded (they *are* right there where they can get lots of
water and road garp thrown up on them) and hard to remove, but once the
nuts are off the shock can be pried off the suspension with a large
screwdriver. If the nuts come off easily, it's maybe 15 or 20 minutes
per side.

The fronts will require a spring compressor. Do not attempt to disassemble
these units without one. Other than that I'll keep quiet. It's been a LONG
time since I had the fronts apart. Maybe Andy Mace can offer some more
detailed information.

Good luck.
Rik
