The only way I've been able to re-install my engine, with headers, is to
leave headers and engine mounts off while I manuevered the engine into place.
The key is that the headers and the mounts must be installed at the same
time, so you lift the headers into place with the engine mounts in the "gap"
in the header tubes. Kind of requires three hands, but it can be done.
