I hate to sound dumb guess that I wasn't really thinking of anything but names.

This one was interesting;
Alger, Horatio. 1832-1899. American writer of inspirational adventure books,
such as Ragged Dick (1867), featuring impoverished boys who through hard work
and virtue achieve great wealth and respect.
