Im surprised you didnt ask me about this, "its my yob, mang". Heres the
skinny on taking cars, campers, trailers and the like into Canada:

Non-consumable items, household and person effects are admissible on a
temporary basis if all items are to be exported at the conclusion of the stay.

Vehicles, whether owned or leased, brought into Canada by temporary residents
for an extended period are generally documented on Form E99, or on Form E29B if
a security deposit is required. These vehicles are not required to comply with
Transport Canada requirements or to be registered with the Registrar of
Imported Vehicles, as long as the importer remains classified as a temporary
resident. If a temporary resident is required to license the vehicle in Canada,
Form 13-0132, Vehicle Import Form 1, will be issued. This form must be
presented to the provincial motor vehicle licensing bureau in order to obtain
licence plates in Canada.

In short, if you are there for 3-4 days, you dont need to do anything with
regard to Customs clearance, tow the car in, tow the car out. As a measure of
precaution, I would take the titles for the truck, trailer, and car. You should
also be sure to take your birth certificate. This way if anything should be
questioned, you can prove U.S. citizenship, and ownership and registration of
all vehicles.

i just got word back on eligibility for pittsburgh. the event is run by the
VSCCA. While Tinkerbell is accepted by SVRA and VSCDA theres no way we would
qualify under VSCCA rules. first the cutoff is theoretically 1959.(when were
bathtub porches that run pitts. made?) and i would have to go back to all drum
brakes,(eee, gad's) and then theres the unseen fact of my 948 keeps ccing at
1300 for some stupid reason...well never mind, it still puts out less ponies
than most spridgets.. ok...so "thats, that" for us and pittsburgh..to bad
too..we might elect to go to the glen in may instead but its the same weekend
price as mid ohio.....unless..
does anybody have good things to say about Mosport?..weve never been there.is
it a nice place?..would the RCCSA girls find a place to party?..whats needed
for a border crossing with a race car? we are unfortunatly on a budget, (ok so
who isnt) and we could go to 2 races vscda for the price of 1 mid ohio svra
event, any suggestions for a nice reasonable race event? whats VIR like?..we
will be going to gingerman july and grattan august,,i would like some
suggestions..

talk to me my thicko brothers and sisters..
