Oh, I am definitely ate up with it ;^). No doubt about that. Since then, I
have actually sold the '62 Super Seven that you saw and picked up my '61 Seven
America (Sprite-powered - the only way to go) and I finally arrived at my dream
car - a 1960 Lotus Seven A - the A stood for BMC A-series in the British market
as Series One Sevens were not officially sold here. I still have the cherry red
Bugeye as they were the first love. The gray '62 Sprite is now complete and
will soon have an aluminum head. I will let you all know how I fair on the
cylinder head install and the seat of teh pants difference that I notice.
I enjoyed the link and the "S" in the head makes me want to build a 998 or so
and use that head. I also have a polished aluminum fetish - a real sicko. I
cannot help it.
Rick or any of the group if you're ever in or near West Virginia give me a
yell. There are not many nuts like me around these parts so a friend to talk
to would be cool. The Rover was an 88 pickup cab that I had shipped from New
Zealand. I like the Rover as well as the little sports cars.
I wanted to thank everyone for their comments on the alloy cyl. head.
Mike

I knew it was a 1098 head when I sent the link. I also knew Mike would like to
see the link because of his interest in things British. Last time I was at his
place he had a real Lotus 7, a Bugeye, an early square body Sprite , and was
driving an ancient Land Rover that day. The Rover was right hand drive if I
remember correctly. :-)
