Durn good advice! However, how many of you (me included) can wait for the proper
ambition to redo the fuel system before trying to fire that 2 or 6 year "sitter"
up?
I have just bought my first Bugeye "sitter" but have done many other cars.
I used to have a windshield washer tank plumbed up like an I.V. drip that hung
from the hood. Hook it up to the (hopefully degunked) carb. With a few other
checks such as
points, plugs, oil, crank binding and primary electrical checks I have had 90%
of
these
motors running within 1 1/2 hours of trying! The look on the guys face when I
ungrounded the coil wire and drove it home was amazing!
Bruce Lowry and "Cosmo" and the new pile of bolted together sprite parts.
