I found the hooks on the cheap HF one gouged my shock
bodies.
I made a TSSC style compressor out of 3/4" plate and
5/8" threaded rod. It's quite adequate.

I'm glad I saved the receipt when I bought a spring
compressor from a
local
NAPA store. It won't fit-- the hooks can't go between
the coils. Has
anyone
found a readily available tool? VB sells them but I'd
just as soon
avoid the
wait and the shipping charges.
