resolution of pulling the harmonic balancer on a buick

I removed the harmonic balancer last night.  The problem being that this
balancer was not designed for a conventional puller to hook up to.  My
answer was 6 ft of 1/8" cable that was passed through the three slots in the
balancer and then hooked up to the puller.  Worked like a champ.
