So we are talking about laying flat on your back upside down ?
Oh boy,, looking forward to that little contortion. How much beer should I
drink so it won't hurt as much ?

Craig,
As I recall, it wasn't too difficult. There is a row of six (I think)
bolts running lengthwise along the underside of the crash pad which hold
it down to the dash. The nuts for these are hard to see from under the
dash but they are assessable. You also have to remove the four nuts
holding on the defroster vents. My cover lifted off pretty easy once I
found all the nuts.
