oil light=buzzing relay

           I noticed my oil light wasn't working. When I checked the sender 
with my meter with the engine off I got no reading, bad sender. However when 
I jumpered the oil sender lead to ground I got the oil light and brake light. 
Thats good but i also got a weird sound like a far away car horn from the 
relay located in the passenger side glove box. Whats this relay for and does 
anybody know what happening here?
