Early (MK I) GT6's came with longer pieces of fiberboard or whatever the
floor panels were that went past the support to create a little alcove just
behind the seats. The GT6+'s had the same support but the floow panels were
even with it, leaving just an open space behind the seats.
I bought a 1970 GT6+ new in 1970, and it had the shorter panels.
