I=E2=80=99ll jump in on the =E2=80=98what not to do=E2=80=99 front. I =
have a 7=E2=80=99 x7=E2=80=99 Rubbermaid shed that I =E2=80=98temporarily=E2=
=80=99 put up a few years ago. Since it was only temporary, I got lazy =
and didn=E2=80=99t properly level the surface. Instead, I took two =
3/4=E2=80=9D 4X8 sheets of pressure treated plywood and screwed them =
onto a couple of p/t 2x4=E2=80=99s to form a base. I shimmed the whole =
thing until it was sort of level and then built the shed on top of that. =
The doors have never opened and closed properly and it has gotten worse =
over time as the makeshift foundation conforms to the ground below it. =20=
I agree that a poured foundation is probably overkill, but it would =
definitely be worth spending the time to make sure the shed sits on a =
compacted, FLAT, LEVEL surface. =20
