I'll 2nd the IR 2131 (600 ft./lbs. of torque in reverse and 450 ft./lbs. of
forward torque) should do the trick and for particularly tough nuts I pop
off the air hose and put a few drops of impact gun oil in it to boost the
efficiency (I swear that has worked).  I've borrowed the IR 2145QIMAX and I
think it has 1350 ft./lbs. of reverse torque, but needs 3/4" sockets or an
adapter to use your 1/2".
