I want to chime in here with my $0.02. 

I love my Dewalt 18v kit.  I've added to it over the years and it is still 
going strong.  I'm pretty tough on tools.  I did have to replace some 
batteries, but they were almost 10 years old.

As for Milwaukee, I only have their inspection camera so I can't comment 
really.  However, a few times I've used the camera, and it didn't seem to 
do as good a job as I expected.

I know you didn't ask, but I wanted to add that my buddy sent me a B&D 24v 
kit when I was in Iraq.  It worked really nice and I still use it in the 
home.  I did have to fix the trigger on it once, but it wasn't hard to do.
