garage door opener advice

my ancient genie opener has finally died, and I don't feel like trying
to resurrect it (again). It was in the garage when we tore it down, 
sat in storage for a few years while we built the garaj mahal, got
reinstalled. I updated it with a more secure remote. For the past year,
reverse just hasn't worked most of the time, so I'd close the door
by hand - now forward doesn't work, either.

So... time to buy a new one. What should I buy? This is a fairly
ordinary two-car segmented wood door.
