Peter;
  I am inclined to perform an oil (Mobile 1) and filter change every 5,000
miles on my Durango that is used as a tow vehicle and for every day local
travel.
Better safe than sorry. And not quite as anal as those who insist on a 3K
change interval.

Keep your records and receipts in order,

Bart
The specs on my new car call for synthetic oil. When
I start the car, the computer displays the mileage to the
next maintenance and tells me what maintenance is required.
Right now the number points to an oil change at about 15k miles,
presumably based on the way I have been driving the car.

Is this a realistic maintenance interval, or should I have the
oil changed sooner?
