Salamanders..

Well my 25 year old kerosene wick type space heat has finally given up
the ghost. I would like to replace it with a salamander type heater.
There are ones that are kerosene fueled and others that are propane. 
 
A)Which type stinks less?
 
B)Is there any noticeable difference in the amount of moisture each
produces?
 
C)Any other pros and cons for each type?
