One other thing I should have mentioned in the previous post. People
frequently ask about the expected life time of cylinders. It's
pretty well close to infinite, barring physical damage from an
outside source. The service pressure loading is something a bit less
than half of the yield strength of the steels used to make 3XXX
cylinders. It's pretty ductile stuff, so it's good for oddles of
cycles. (There has never been a cylinder failure in the US do to
cyclic failure, in about a hundred years of high pressure cylinders.)
The valves on cylinders fail, but they're pretty routinely overhauled
at requalify time, so I'd not worry about lifetime. The tanks (and
torch, if you get a good 'un) can be a family heirloom. I wouldn't
will the hoses along with tanks and torch, though.
