I use flourescent in my garage, but I have
incandescent backup in the garage door opener.
When flourescent lights get cold they don't work
so good. (I don't work so good either!) The incandescent
lights are just enough toget the snow blower in and out.

PS.
I have four, four tube flourescent lights and
three, two tube shop lights in a two car garage.
I use two 60 watt bulbs in the opener.
My next step is white paint on the walls.
I plan to use SPF-30 when working in the garage!
