I have a 10" from my father. The motor was replaced and the clamping collar
around the column was cracked. He was
using it to mill metal. The cross sliding table that was attach was a monster
for such a small drill press. It took
alot of abuse but still seems to work fine.

The run out is not too bad, better than a new Harbor Freight special but not as
good as say a Delta. If you are
looking for an inexpensive drill press (I hate to endorse any Craftsman
product) the Craftsman is not a bad choice. If
you're looking for a great drill press wait for a sale on a Delta.
