     The brass tubing is likely to be fairly thin wall..
     
     Consider a large tubbing cutter if available..Just clamp it on and 
     tighten up as yu rotate.  Put some masking tape on the area you want
     to cut to mark it and hopefully mitigate agains marks..
     
     If you have a metal cut-off saw with an abrasive wheel- Get a wood
     dowel to place into the ID and cut away...It will leave a burr -
     use a standard file to clean..
