I could just put a gear set in from another original rearend as some of the 
teeth are broke off the current one, replace the pinion bearing and be on 
my way. Patricks offer the replacement 3:38 gear, would cost upwards of 600 
to replace the set and all the bearing and would have to have a different 
carrier to use after market gear sets. I have the 2:73 that I've gonna put 
back in from a early 70 Nova so just need to make the time to get out and 
swap it back out..    I hate doing work like this is the type of heat we've 
had lately.  So I may spread it our over a few weekends..  --wayne
