If there is this much problem with P-type manifolds, why doesn't some one get
batch made. ???????????????

  In addition to the one on the car, we have two spares. All three have been
  cracked, usually at the bottom flange due to the muffler hitting something
  solid. I suspect this is a very common problem.

  I would suggest that your best course would be to seek out a welder of cast
  iron and have yours repaired. If it's beyond repair contact me off-list and
  maybe I can help.
