Subject: M-Type Bonnet Catches

Hi!

My 1931 M-Type Sportsman's Coupe is in the last stages of
restoration. Of the original 6 bonnet (hood) catches, 2 are useable
and 3 are beyond repair. This style of catch was used on the 18/80
as well as the M-type.

Does anyone have some catches in good repair that I could purchase,
or know where I could get them?

If none are available, would anyone be interested in participating in
a bulk order to have new catches made up by Mike Allison?

I'm not sure of the exact style used on the Sportsman Coupe, but check
Paul Beck Vintage Supplies (http://www.vintagecarparts.co.uk/). They
have a number of stock items that may be similar or identical to what
you're after. I found they had the correct bonnet catches for my PB
Airline Coupe.

Regards,
Lew Palmer
