I understand that the waters were mainly muddied by some members
of the Bugatti Owners Club who decided that the original was the
design drawing and if the thing conformed to that it was fair game
for acceptable eligibility.
They are now reaping the rewards of such a stupid approach i think
as its very easy to buy all new parts assemble - paint and win a
Concours!!!
