Howdy, I am in the process of building an aluminum fairing for my
motorcycle, (and am having fun teaching myself how to shape metal in broad
sweeps, built an english wheel and an air planishing hammer and seem to be
collecting an unusual amount of hammers) and am wondering what
paint/coating I can use on aluminum to protect the underside, you know,
inner fender wells, and the places where the outside surface paint does not
cover. Now I'm sure somebody out there is gonna suggest a hi$ product, and
that's OK, because somebody else can maybe use that info, but I'm looking
for something that is more reasonably priced, and doesn't require a "moon
suit" to apply it. and another question, I am planning on having a stripe
of polished aluminum on the outside of the fairing, what clearcoat can I
use to coat it? thanks
