I too am shocked! The Vesco clan have been part of the Bonneville scene
for as long as I can remember. Truly a dedicated racing family, always
innovators with the determination to exceed.

John Vesco, Rick & Don's father, brought out the new #444 streamliner in
the early sixties. It was so different from the conventional liner that
SCTA required it to run in an experimental class for time only the first
year. This is the car that would eventually put both Don & Rick in the
Bonneville 200 MPH Club, and with modifications, continues to run under
new ownership.

If you haven't looked at the Vesco web site, you should,
http://www.teamvesco.com/. As a family, I don't know any that can match
their achievements. Don certainly went out on top...the fastest man in
both wheel driven motorcycle and car classes. I am certain that Rick
will continue the pursuit of speed.
