Couple of things:
1) if you're running a "sport coil" you might be putting too much secondary
voltage through the cap, causing leaks and/or crossfiring (I use the almost
50
year-old original coil and it throws a 3/4" spark ... I figure that's
enough ;)
2) I haven't had good luck with aftermarket caps ... I use genuine Lucas (I
know,
they're expensive--if you can get them)
