Hey Larry,

Not a nit at all! Bandwidth is a real issue for most
folks.

Here's the scoop on what you probably have now, and what you
might want to upgrade, and what to download to do that, and
what you don't need to worry about at all.

First, don't sweat BDE1 and BDE2 (AKA Disk4 and Disk4).
These hold the database engine that is used to access the
vehicle, tire, and driver databases. The engine has NOT
changed ever, so an upgrade to these two disks is never
needed.

Your version is rather old, probably around 2.4, especially
since you seem to indicate that you don't have Palm Support
already. So definitely you want to update the GEEZ.EXE
program itself. Version 2.5 had several "clean-up" type
enhancements in addition to Palm support for the first time,
and Version 2.6 is the first to support lapping features.
There have been updates to the way gages work over the
years, but I don't think these were really all that
important, and the old gages will work just fine with the
new program. I suspect you already have the newest gages,
but even if not, it's not a big deal.

So I would suggest downloading just the GEEZ.EXE and the
Palm Software Package. Instructions are on the website for
both, but essentially, just unzip the GEEZ download in your
\geez directory or folder. Note that to use the lapping
features you should take a minute to read the README.TXT
file that comes with it, and follow along the tutorial.
Also, when you unzip the GEEZ download you'll find several
data files from Sebring. These should all be put into your
\geez\data directory. Note that because this download is
just a collection of files, not an actual install procedure,
you'll have to take care of moving the files into the proper
directories on your own. It's not too tough, but if you get
stuck, call the help line and I'll guide you through it.

For the Palm stuff we suggest building a directory called
\geez\g-palm, and downloading and unzipping into that
directory. Check the help screens under Wizard Tutorials
and you'll find a step by step for how to load the G-Palm
system into your Palm, and how to run everything. It's
pretty simple stuff, but as always, call if you need more
help.
