Anthony, I did not get a chance to stop by your paddock, but saw you drivi=
ng around down in the north paddock at one point during the week.=C2=A0 Did=
not see you at the NER party Tuesday night.=C2=A0 I was racing in my FP Mi=
ata.=C2=A0 My son was there too in my Bumble Bee Miata, but blew the engine=
Monday afternoon.=C2=A0 No one was willing to sell their spare engine, so =
he went home sad.=C2=A0 While I had the same HP as the winning Miata with a=
Prather engine, I needed to find another 10 seconds (found 8 for my first =
qualifying session, but still needed 10 more to be in the mix).=C2=A0 First=
time at RA and only got one full test day session and one full qualifying.=
=C2=A0 Others were cut to 2 or 3 laps due to crashes.=C2=A0 I was surprised=
by the number of crashes in most groups during the week.=C2=A0 FP Miata dr=
iver paddocked next to me went to the hospital (dropped a wheel off coming =
out of carousel, spun and hit wall), one Spec Miata driver was air lifted o=
ut during qualifying (trying to go 3 wide thru kink), while others went by =
ambulance to hospital, GT1 driver,=C2=A0Lou Gigliotti, who started his race=
career in what is now my TR3A, went to hospital with multiple fractures.=
=C2=A0=C2=A0
My goal for the race was just to keep my nose clean (Jesse Prather's advice=
 too) and finish.=C2=A0 I started 23rd and finished 15th.=C2=A0 Had a coupl=
e cars to race with at the back, so that kept it interesting.=C2=A0 Only go=
t down to 1:46.3.JoeB

Thanks very much Jason and everyone else for your comments.
The Runoffs is always a crazy week.=C2=A0=C2=A0Sorry I didn't have more tim=
e to talk with you Jason.Had just gotten back from Hoosier where they "fixe=
d" two new tires and new wheels that were loosing air quickly.Nothing like =
a surprise one hour before the race to get your blood pumping.
Sticker tires I put on for the race were terrible.=C2=A0 Should have left t=
he qualifying tires on.
Finally back home in good old New Hampshire. Now I have the winter to rebuil=
d everything and find 20-30 HP.
If anyone is more than half interested, I recommend reading the GCR with em=
phasis on the Production rules and the PCS.https://www.scca.com/downloads/7=
3202-september-runoffsThat will give you an idea of what is currently allow=
ed, what isn't allowed, and how the competition's specs stack up.
