Maybe you are using too good a duct tape :-)
I take a length of duct tape, stick it to my blue jeans once or twice to fill 
the gum with some lint, and then put it on the car. That reduces the stickiness 
considerably and makes removal easier with less paint risk.

takes forever to remove
