An interesting thread. I hope the assumption is that the roll bar is WELDED to
the frame in these recommendations.. Have seen many vintage bars STILL bolted
in. Thus when the bar breaks loose from the body/frame...and the belts are
bolted to the frame...things get very nasty very quickly. Think it thru for
YOUR arrangement...and hopefully get a proper rollbar welded in if anyone
hasn't yet. AND...make it tall enough...your head is a lousy skidplate. 2""
above the helmet to a line from there to the crown of the front fender...as a
minimum. (Used to be the SCCA guideline...and still not a bad one). It only
has to work once. Just a thought to ponder.
