get 'em hot a few times in a row and the squeak stops for a long time, 
on my experience.  full hard stops from 60+mph worked for me; mine only 
squeak in reverse in parking lots now, usually with people watching 
unfortunately.  the spray-on anti-squeak stuff is a last resort I think, 
it sure is messy.
