Ok,
I guess I'm in the minority, I like it. Did he
totally butcher a Roadster, sure. However, he
improved a number of things along the way. Let's be
honest here, this car would have most of the Roadsters
on this board for breakfast. A 350 in a Roadster!? I
should be so lucky. And it looks like this guy did
things the proper way, rather than sticking stuff
together half-ass. Ok, the welded doors are a bit
"Dukes of Hazardish", but I'm sure it also helps add
rigidity to the body - and it's going to need it with
that much power. I admire the guy for putting in the
extra bracing and whatnot. So he has a unique, one of
a kind car, that will smoke just about anything on
this board (or on the road period) and that's a bad
thing? At least he saved it from the junkyard and
actually got around to restoring it. Which is further
along than where I'm at on my 69 1600.
So is it different? Yes. But come on, this car has to
be a blast to drive. And that's what this is all
about, right?
