I made two 3X4 inch horizontal plates, one with two tangs each about an inch
and a half square welded vertically to the middle of the plate. The two
tangs are spaced apart by the width of the shoulder harness mounting plate
on the end of the harness. That plate on the shoulder harness is held to
the tangs by a through bolt. This arrangement puts the bolt holding the
harness in a double shear which is the strongest way to use a bolt. The 3X4
plates are bolted to the shelf area behind the seat, one above and one below
sandwiching the shelf. The lap belts are bolted into the stock mounting
points.
If you need pictures I can probably post some.

 i've
seen full shoulder/lap seat belts installed in roadsters with roll bars,
but has anyone installed shoulder belts without having a roll bar?
