I am angry and frustrated as much as anyone else. My condolences go the
thousands of people who've lost friends and loved ones.
My initial thought was to blame the usual suspects without really having any
concrete evidence against them. It's been several hours now and I am still
in shock. I see the coverage and still can't really come to terms with it.
I have a strong suspicion these terrorists were aided by people very
familiar with commercial aircraft and our air transportation systems. I
would not be surprised if we find out that whoever masterminded this attack
consulted/hired experts (other than middle eastern terrorist types) who knew
exactly where to hit the buildings and with what kind of aircraft to
maximize the structural damage. I don't believe our usual suspects have
enough brains to carry out an attack of this magnitude all by themselves.
It would take an awful lot of strategic planning and training to accomplish
this horrendous attack. It just could not have happened otherwise.
I am hoping our government will be able to properly identify and punish the
parties responsible for this cowardly attack on civilians. My opinion on
stopping these terrorists is probably too simple. Eliminate them. We must
now take it seriously whenever a terrorist makes a threat against our
national security and act accordingly. I've heard a lot of talk about what
other countries' reactions would be if we were to take military action. My
opinion on it is "who cares". Our country has been attacked, not theirs.
They can either help or shut up and get the hell out of our way. GOD BLESS
