Roman first pointed out to me that the hood scoop on an early car is
also lower.
I installed new motor mounts and solex heat shield and insulator blocks
this last weekend.
This makes a good combination of projects because lifting the engine
makes more room to install the blocks.
Note: Make sure you install the out-board blocks before you install the
heatshield.
I have headers, so it was necessary to dimple the heatshield ~1/2 deep
to clear the header, after my "body work" I bent the lip straight with a
vice. Sorry, I didn't take any pictures, I am still in the dark ages as
to a digital camera or scanner.
I have some transmission issues to cure and I will be back on the road
again.
