I was wondering what your experience is with painting a Roadster. How
much did you pay and what steps did you take to insure a good job.
Lastly, is there some Guru, with paint ability, that you would
reccommend?

My last paint experience was $39.95 in 1966.

Thanks in Advance

Hey, I live there too. And I had my 2000 painted about a dozen years
ago in Alameda. It was a pretty cheap job, about $1000 which included a
bunch of body work and getting the rear bumper straightened and
rechromed (rear ended by Porsche on Embarcadero in SF). Note that the
age of the job means that most likely anyone who worked on it isn't
there anymore, so i don't know if you'd learn anything by it. It was at
the miracle shop near the park street bridge (on Clement?). feel free
to come look at mine. I'm on Bayo Vista and the car is and will be out
front, as it seems to not have a functioning clutch at the moment. damn
thing only lasted 120,000 miles. I'm going to see if I can get Datsun
to pick it up on their extended warranty program. (but it might just be
hydraulics).
