Last night I was cleaning up the windshield & windshield frame of my 67.5
1600 (I pulled it off to work on
restoring the interior).
Using acetone to clean up the old glue, etc, I noticed that the more I
rubbed, the chromier the interior
side of the frame became. It seems like the interior side had been dulled
on purpose? Was this
another safety feature implemented (along with the black trim ringed
guages)? The exterior of
the windshield frame is chrome, but not the interior. Seems like the wing
windows have this
same dullness.
