Mike,
>From the factory the seats had the grommets for the head rest, but
were often plugged with plastic plugs. Since the grommets are fairly
large, most upholstery shops would just recover the seats with a
piece of material without providing any holes.
If you feel along the top edge, usually you can locate the location
of the holes for the headrest.
