I'll stick my neck out and say:
'Why not consider an L20b + 5 speed conversion?'
A stock L20b would provide decent torque and the 5 speed (early dogleg)
would give good cruising on the highway. I estimate the cost for both
at less than $500. If you want more power there are many options and
the parts are amazingly cheap.
Has anybody done the conversion and care to comment?
