Yes, the small rectangular box mounted to the Right side of the steering column 
is
the dash volotage regulator.  The wires need to be connected correctly in order 
for
the instruments to work correctly.  If they are reversed the guages will go up 
normally,
but then keep going up past where they should be.  Also, make sure that the 
regulator
is grounded well.
