Mine is the same with the driver side wheel sticking out. I have just put
the body back on the car after the engine swap and there is not enough play
to get things to line up. I am just living with it as is.

The body and frame are held together with 4 to 6 bolts on each side. The
holes have a very small tolerance. I can't believe the body would ever
shift more than 1/32 or maybe 1/16 of an inch.
