Be sure to put anit-sieze on the new sender so that it will come
out again easily. (You may have to remove the T'stat housing and
use an offset punch to push the old one out).
The gland nut may also be damaged. Folks really honker down on the nut making
sure that it seals properly, causing the nut to flare out.
