I think that because the thermostat is in the inlet manifold there needs to
be some circulation to bring warm and subsequently hot water to the
thermostat so that it can sense that the coolant is getting warm. Stated
another way, there needs to be thermal communication between the engine and
the remote thermostat. Does the electric pump setup retain the original
thermostat? Where is the sensor located that tells the electric pump to turn
