Well, I didn't see much response about Burnett's in Palo Alto and since my
only experience with them has been less than favorable, I thought I'd
defer this one to the wisdom (??) of the list.

Are there any reputable Brit Car Shops in the South Bay (San Jose, Palo
Alto, etc.) area? My car is not in need of any help but my Mom's '77
Midget needs new shocks and they don't have time to do it themselves (and
I don't have the time to do it for them - really!).

Almost all of my experiences with bay area shops have been pretty ho-hum -
nothing to recommend any of them. Burnett's has already been mentioned and
I and my parents have had less than thrilling success with Santa Clara
British Sports Cars (or whatever they/he (Steve Chase) is calling it these
days). Sorry to sound so negative about these places but after having
some very good luck with places in the foothills (Placerville area), it
seems hard to believe that there aren't any good bay area shops. I know
the answer is to do it right and do it yourself but what about when you can't
or don't have time?

help.....
