With all the british cars I have owned I have fitted a simple switch
into the electric fuel pump circuit. This means the car will start on
the gas in the carbs but will die after a mile or so and hopefully
the thief will then decice to abandon this "unreliable hunk of
british junk". Chances are it will stop in the middle of the road
somewhere so the police are likely to find it pretty quickly if it is
holding up traffic and therfore the thieves won't stick around to try
and sort out the problem. Thats the theory anyway.
