Well, the TR-250 is now New York State inspected for another year and is
back on the road. (I had to repair the ground wire for the horn.) I guess
Spring is finally here. I even drove to work with the top down this
morning. Take that, Roland!

On a more mechanical note, yesterday I pulled out the box of parts I
purchased from TRF over the winter and rummaged around for something easy to
install, sort of to make myself feel as if I'd accomplished something... I
settled on the oil pressure relief valve spring and the little rubber
thingies that the sun visors snuggle into (near the rear view mirror). Both
installations were successes. Now my sun visor doesn't flop into my face at
speed.

What a difference the new relief valve spring made! I replaced the main and
rod bearings late last summer and saw a significant increase in oil
pressure, but after everything settled in, the pressure still sagged at hot
idle. When I replaced the old spring yesterday I compared the old and new
ones. The old one must have been 1/16" shorter than the new one. The relief
valve was probably always slightly open! Now I have great oil pressure, even
at hot idle. It made my day...
