The current British Cars magazine includes a "what to look for
in a TR6" article. Good reading.

Ignoring general car condition issues, this could certainly turn
into a problem. I've seen too many of you CA folks fighting SMOG
issues. If the stuff has been removed from the car, putting it
back together could be a pain. (Interesting as well, if the GA
tag has been retained, AND the registration is in the Atlanta area
it could be a problem for the current owner in the near future.
Currently, it's too old to have a smog test but changing laws will
tighten things up here.)

Unless it's from the coastal area (Savannah, etc) I wouldn't expect
a GA car to really be prone to a rust problem. Scrape the red off -- there's
a chance it's Georgia Red Clay rather than rust!

Perhaps, but the $700 price sounds fair. It just may be a $700 parts
car rather than a "restore it" project. If there's rust, much welding
may be needed to put it back together. One of the TR6 books (a project
series from Practical Classics I think) details rust repair on
a TR6.

Anyway, I missed the original review time. Hopefully Larry will update
us on his reactions after seeing the car.
