If any of you has bought recently one of the better computer magazines such
as BYTE,PC ,etc. you have a very good idea of what our british car group
list is going to look like...the interesting bits would be swamped under a
mountain of beautifully produced ads,it would take a year to read and
digest each issue. It is almost impossible now to read the excellent
articles buried somewhere in these magazines, when their contents are
separated by pages and pages of ads.
The interests of this group are much more diverse than those of the spare
parts vendors in the USA,and the humour, pathos and despair that can be
found in many of the contributions make this list a unique affair. If some
people find the listing of available parts and prices useful, why not a
separate, commercial list,to which you could suscribe if you wished.Ray
Gibbons has proposed this eminently simple and just solution.
But the civilized, quick and interesting dialogue that is going here is just
too good to dilute with commercial catalogues.
